HORALE COLUMBUS!
Presenting a news, educational information, Latino music variety format for both Latinos and Non-Latinos
Weekly interviews with services providers, contacts, etc., to connect the community to these valuable Services. Ex. SSI, ODJFS, COWIC, Columbus Housing Partnership, MORPC, etc…
Feature a variety of Latino Music with a world concept, meaning all the variety of music from Mexico, Central and South American including US Latino music.
Promote better understanding of the Latino Community, its issues, demographics, diversity, etc
Engage the political community to encourage awareness of the needs in the Latino Community as well as addressing key issues such as Immigration and others. Feature interviews with such political figures from Columbus as well as congressional figures.
Support community events, and sponsor conferences and forums to create awareness of Latinos in Columbus.
Feature on a monthly basis, Country of the month, featuring music and awareness of cultural customs, values of respective country, ex. Peru its music, its history, etc…invite community folks from respective community to sit in and talk about the country.
Show will be in bilingual format to encourage listeners from the Latino and Non-Latino community
Seek Sponsorships for support for the radio program and radio station
Establish partnerships with Latino Community Groups, including groups of faith, to promote their events and efforts in the community as well as other groups reaching out to the Latino Community
DJs, Benito Lucio, will head the show, with invited guests and a possible co-host being a female to add balance to the show. With the show being volunteer, it is sometimes difficult to find someone willing to commit to this effort
