CV 20230921 Ohio to allow Fracking on public lands

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Oil and Gas Land Use Commission, established by statute in 2011 to facilitate fracking leases on public lands, including state parks, but which had been dormant until this year met on Monday, Sept 18 to decide whether to open up 3 state parks to fracking lease bidding. After over 2 hours of procedural debate, the commission failed to reach majority consensus and tabled the lease proposals. Audio from the commission meeting, and an interview with Cathy Cohen Becker, one of the organizers of the protest at the meeting, with Save Our Parks.
