Local social justice activist Amber Evans disappeared in January, and was found recently in the scioto river, an apparent case of suicide - though some harbor lingering doubts about the circumstances of her death. This program is a musical tribute to Amber, featuring songs of struggle and loss, and also of beauty and power.

This is the third episode of Youth Beat Radio's Rural Series. This series highlights rural life and culture as presented by the voices of the students, many of whom have grown up in rural communities in Ohio and beyond. Seven students in Dr. Kristi Lekies' Rural Sociology 1500 class at the Ohio State University have produced segments on the challenges youth in rural America face, and what some organizations are doing about it.
